I’ve always loved repairing things instead of just replacing them, but it feels like more and more modern appliances aren’t meant for that. I’ve had to come up with some wacky solutions to fixing different parts of my kitchen in the past. So, when my Cuisinart food processor broke, I debated just getting a new one. Still, I couldn’t shake the feeling that maybe repairing it was possible, so I started looking around. I’m glad I did!
I found out that the main issues for my food processor were the blades. They got stuck and could not move anymore, even after I cleared out what was inside. They seemed bent out of shape, ineffective and had clearly lost their edge. Some other parts like my pusher and bowls were also pretty beat up but still functioned fine. I decided to focus on the blades just to get it up and running again.
As almost everyone does now, I started looking online. I found a few different possibilities, but all of the products seemed cheap and easily broken. I didn’t want to have to repair it again or waste my money, so I kept looking. Eventually, I found Kitchen Works Inc, an online marketplace. They carry official Cuisinart food processor replacement parts. This was exactly what I was looking for! Even though my Cuisinart is pretty old now, I managed to find replacement parts for everything that had issues.
All I had to do was find my model number and search to get the exact parts that fit. They make it super easy to look around and feel confident that the right parts are coming up. The prices are also great; after seeing how much cheaper replacement blades are, I immediately stopped considering a new food processor. I even got a new bowl and pusher for much cheaper!
The parts came quicker than I expected and felt great. It’s hard for me to remember exactly what the parts that came with my Cuisinart felt like, but these are clearly made with quality in mind. Replacing the parts was a breeze too. While I do have experience with DIY projects, I feel like anyone could have done it themselves. I even got my daughter to help so that she could learn how it feels to work with your hands!
The Cuisinart feels almost brand new, and chopping everything is easier than it has been for years. I didn’t realize how worn down my old parts were until I tried chopping up vegetables with the new ones — it was so much faster!
I’m much happier now than I would have been with a new processor, and my finances for the month are still on track. I’m even considering going back to the Kitchen Works website and picking up some accessories for the food processor – they’ve got some great-looking storage solutions. I also discovered parts I never knew existed, like dough blades and discs for specific cuts. With how much I saved replacing the parts myself, I can still buy more before hitting the price of the original!
